We will be performing a free, family-friendly improv comedy show on Thursday, January 29 at 7:00 PM at Mineral Springs Brewery in Owatonna. There is no ticket cost for this show. Instead, all tips collected during the performance will go directly to the Community Action Center of Faribault.
Little Fish Comedy began at the Paradise Center for the Arts in Faribault: a place that has given so many of us room to create, perform, and belong.
The Community Action Center serves our community in a different way: offering shelter, food, and support to people from all backgrounds across Rice County. In addition to emergency and transitional housing, the CAC operates a food shelf that serves thousands of people each year, and they have recently begun delivering groceries to neighbors who are unable to travel. Especially in winter, this work can be the difference between stability and crisis for many families.
Promoting a comedy show feels a little strange right now. But we believe there is value in gathering, laughing, and being together, especially when it is paired with a tangible way to help our neighbors. A brief reprieve of levity can mean more when it also contributes to real support.
If you are able to give, we encourage you to tip generously during the show. If you do not have cash, QR codes will be available for easy digital donations.
So come, laugh, be in community with one another, and help raise funds to ensure everyone has what they need to stay safe and healthy.
